Over the last 6 months there has been a
change in the landscape of stained glass suppliers in Calgary.
Stores like Stained Glass Unlimited have left and we are sorry to say that we are also leaving the
Calgary area.
We have been a steady part of the Calgary landscape for over
10 years. Lots of changes in those years, David working to help
start, Jennifer coming on board for 5 years, and then Shawn, Ron
and Lyn over the last while. Why leave Calgary? Our cost of
leasing was increasing well over 100% which would have to be
reflected in our prices. This means that over $21000 per month
would go to just opening our doors.
While we are sad to leave Calgary, we are excited with the
upcoming changes that are happening in our Kelowna store as well
as our collaborative efforts throughout Western Canada.
Firstly, we are adding 2500sq.ft to accommodate our supply
area in Kelowna. We have plans to increase our selection of
glass, as well as being a distributor for many products that we
have carried in the past and will be carrying in the future. The
best part about all of this is that our net costs in selling
supplies is not changing that much from running our business as
it is now. That means better pricing! Our days of
operation will be Monday to Saturday starting mid January 2009

One part of the changes that I am excited about is the
collaborative relationships we are now working on. Shawn, Ron
and Lynn are starting "Muk Luk Magpies Stained Glass
Emporium" in Airdrie opening January 2009. You can see

or simply come into Fusion within the next month.
Over the 1st part of 2009, we hope to have in place
'partners' in Lethbridge, Prince George, Grand Prairie, Seattle
and Vancouver. We invite all our current and new customers to
